Working for an Architecture firm has it's perks. Our office set up a Friday morning field trip recently that included brunch in LA, followed by a visit to the new Renzo Piano addition to the LACMA complex, The Broad Contemporary Art Museum. Here are some photos from that day.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
Nasher Sculpture Center
In Dallas we visited the Nasher Sculpture Center which is composed of a Sculpture Gallery Building, designed by architect Renzo Piano and the Sculpture Garden designed by landscape architect Peter Walker.
Kimball Art Museum
We also got to see the Kimball Art Museum, designed by Louis I. Kahn. Just so happens to be next door to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. While attending Cal Poly Pomona for my Architecture degree, I wrote a report on this building and its architect. I never thought I'd get the chance to see it for myself. After graduation I had the great opportunity of traveling throughout Europe and seeing many of the architectural icons we had studied in school, but I have much to see here in the states still. Luckily on this trip I got a few of them checked off.
